Kelly has walked a unique path to become Denver’s next mayor. She knows this city and knows how to lead it. Her leadership, collaborative nature, and boundless energy is what we need to get our city working for everyone again.
This is also a great page with her guiding values: https://kellybrough.com/issues/kellys-guiding-values/
Not only does Kelly have the professional experience necessary to lead our City on Day One as a new Mayor, but her personal story enables Kelly to connect with all Denverites.
Kelly has the professional experience necessary to take on Denver’s greatest challenges while overseeing the complex operations of a city with over 12,000 employees and a budget exceeding $1.6 billion. And Kelly’s unique life experience and history of continued perseverance enables her to understand personally the challenges confronting many of our most vulnerable.
For those unfamiliar with Kelly’s professional history, her extensive resume includes:
* Chief of Staff to former Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper
* Head of Career Service Department, City of Denver
* Policy Analyst, Denver City Council
* First woman President and CEO of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce
* Chief Strategy Officer at Metro State University
Simply put, Kelly literally knows how to run the City of Denver.
Just as important as Kelly’s professional background is her remarkable personal story of overcoming great adversity from childhood through adulthood while raising two girls as a single mom. From an impoverished background, Kelly saw the power of education transform her own life and worked nights and weekends to put herself through college. These experiences inspired a passion to provide families and disadvantaged children the same path to success Kelly followed.
Kelly’s decades of service in local government and work on behalf of businesses - big and small - combined with her personal journey, is why we are enthusiastically supporting Kelly to be Denver’s next Mayor … and Denver’s first woman Mayor.
Contributions from Denver donors between $5 and $50 are matched from the City’s new Fair Election Fund at 900%.
